Exciting News for HLA!

Posted Date: 10/22/26 (10:32 AM)

I am thrilled to share that Healthy Learning Academy has been officially recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top-ranked charter and public elementary schools in the country!

Last year, the HLA team worked incredibly hard to improve our school grade, moving from an A to an even higher A! This achievement not only helped establish HLA as one of the top-performing schools in Alachua County but we are now receiving recognition at the state and national levels. HLA now ranks among the top 40% of schools in Florida, a milestone that reflects the progress we have made and our continued commitment to academic excellence.

U.S. News & World Report’s elementary school rankings evaluate student achievement in mathematics and reading/language arts using state assessment data. The rankings consider both how many students meet or exceed proficiency standards and how students perform in the context of their socioeconomic backgrounds. This provides a broader look at academic achievement and recognizes schools that are helping students succeed. Being included among the top-ranked schools is an exciting accomplishment for HLA and reflects the progress our students have made in building the foundational skills they need for future success.

We would never have been able to accomplish this without our wonderful, dedicated teachers, our hardworking students, strong leadership and the incredible partnership we share with our families. This achievement belongs to our entire HLA community. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and grateful to work alongside true professionals who care so deeply about ALL of our students and their success.

While we are proud of this progress, we know there is always more work to do. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for being part of the HLA journey. Together, we will continue building on this momentum!
